>Cost Effective,
Scalable Bandwidth Options
NWT Data Center Ethernet VPN service is an end-to-end, Layer 2 switched Ethernet service delivered via NWT’s mature, MPLS backbone. As a result, customers benefit from a congestion-free, secure and reliable service, similar to that of a SONET/SDH private line, but without the dedicated bandwidth costs. Our MPLS core accommodates diverse access methods, including the NWT Managed Ethernet Access service, a fully monitored and managed, CPE-based solution available using TDM/SONET loops.

Ensuring Security
Ethernet functionality resides at Layer 2, creating a private network with no Layer 3 routing involved. Since traffic is not routed, data is not vulnerable to Internet Protocol security risks. By design, customer data units can only reach their configured endpoint destinations. Delivering flexible service
Three classes of service are available based on traffic type (1) Standard; Ideal for non-critical or sporadic data traffic such as email, web-browsing (2) Enhanced; for critical application traffic with less sensitivity to delay than voice/ video applications, and (3) Optimized; for traffic that requires rigorous timing control and other metrics such as voice, streaming media and video applications
Enabling cost-effectiveness
NWT Ethernet VPN service can help you capitalize on lower-cost Ethernet technology and a true "pay-as-you-go" model to offer converged services over a technology that is scalable, cost effective and has superior performance. |
